After managing Private Equity (PE) funds and executing mergers and acquisitions (M&A) for more than 12 years in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), Turkey and in the Former Soviet Union (FSU), Özgür Ömer GÜNER founded his corporate finance and investment advisory services company, European Growth Management (EGM), in Istanbul, to better serve his primarily French, German and generally European client base of strategic investors and their PE funds. GÜNER, born in 1971 has lived in France and Turkey for the majority of his life. He executed M&A deals being based in Prague, Sofia, Istanbul, Kiev and Moscow. He managed a leading regional PE and real estate fund’s investments in CEE and Turkey: Europa Capital Management (ECM). He has held numerous Directorships and successfully restructured many of the portfolio companies. Among funds managed by ECM, was the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Bulgarian Post Privatisation Fund. He executed more than 15 successful deals in various sectors such as construction materials, chemicals, services, food processing, healthcare, distribution, paper & carton board, utilities and real estate. Thanks to Özgür’s strong international Private Equity and real sector background, he is able to understand and identify properly the needs of the foreign strategic investors and advise them efficiently in understanding the local market and later in the acquisition of the leading local company which will suit the investor’s corporate culture, will bring steady growth and reliable returns on capital employed. GÜNER holds a BS in Finance from Syracuse University, New York and an MBA from HEC School of Management (I.04), Paris. |
